Mr. Sameep Shastri is a distinguished entrepreneur, strategist, and public leader presently serving as the Chairman of the BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Having previously served as the Vice Chairman of BRICS CCI for six years, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening the Chamber’s international outreach, institutional partnerships, youth leadership initiatives, and multilateral engagement across BRICS and emerging economies. He is a key figure in organizing international dialogues and summits that focus on the integration of youth leadership into the global business and governance landscape, making significant strides in building collaborative platforms across BRICS nations.
A forward-thinking entrepreneur and dedicated public servant, Mr. Shastri carries forward the legacy of his grandfather, the former Prime Minister of India, Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri. His leadership journey spans politics, business, and community development, where he actively advocates for policies that promote innovation, self-reliance, and youth empowerment. To this end, the organizations he is associated with have organized many programs promoting Youth Empowerment and Sustainable Development under his leadership and in partnership with the embassies of China, Brazil, Russia, Norway, Serbia, Bolivia, Venezuela, Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Guatemala, Botswana, Peru, Czech Republic and South Korea among others.
Mr. Sameep Shastri’s leadership is reflected in his support for key government initiatives like Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Atmanirbhar Bharat, Skill India, Startup India, Digital India, and Make in India, alongside financial literacy, green energy programs, and the National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP).
He is a strong advocate for women’s empowerment, supporting Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Mahila Shakti Kendra, and the Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP). In education, Sameep champions the National Education Policy (NEP), promoting vocational education, skill development, and bridging the urban-rural education gap.
