Held in New Delhi from 21–23 March 2026, the 6th Edition of the BRICS CCI WE Annual Summit & Felicitation 2026 emerged as a landmark global gathering, bringing together leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers from across BRICS+ nations. Organised by the Women Empowerment Vertical of the BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BRICS CCI WE), in collaboration with the BRICS Women Business Alliance, the three-day summit was centred on the theme “Women in Innovation, Science Leadership & Entrepreneurship (WISE): Inspiring Change, Shaping Tomorrow.”

Gracing the occasion as Chief Guest, Raksha Khadse, Hon’ble Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, highlighted that India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047 is deeply rooted in inclusive growth, with women and youth as its strongest pillars. The summit was further enriched by the presence of Meenakshi Lekhi, who underscored the importance of women-led leadership in diplomacy, innovation, and global collaboration.

The WISE initiative—launched earlier at the BRICS Women Business Alliance Plenary in Rio de Janeiro—served as a cornerstone of the summit, driving dialogue around cross-border collaboration and enabling women to lead in science, technology, and entrepreneurship. In her welcome address, Ms. Ruby Sinha, President – BRICS CCI WE, described the summit as a call to action, emphasizing a shift from participation to leadership and from inclusion to measurable impact.

The summit commenced with B2B networking sessions at STPI Gurugram, followed by an industry visit to the NASSCOM Centre of Excellence for AI & IoT, and a high-level roundtable with women leaders and experts. A key milestone was the signing of an MoU with SEBRAE (Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service), strengthening international cooperation. The unveiling of the commemorative book “WISE Collective: Echoes of Excellence” by Shabana Azmi celebrated inspiring women changemakers across the BRICS+ ecosystem.

A major highlight was the Convocation of the 3rd Edition of the Global Women Leadership Programme (GWLP), a flagship initiative mentoring emerging women leaders, supported by leading institutional and knowledge partners. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman – BRICS CCI, emphasized the strategic role of BRICS+ nations in nurturing women leaders in high-growth sectors.
The summit featured powerful insights from global leaders including HRH Ms. Lebogang Zulu, Ms. Debjani Ghosh, Shri Abhishek Singh, Dr. Rupinder Brar, and Mr. Sanjay Bhattacharyya, who collectively emphasized innovation, policy influence, inclusive ecosystems, and technology-driven growth. Bhumi Pednekar, honoured as a BRICS CCI WE Woman Icon, highlighted the intersection of climate action, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

The Felicitation Ceremony celebrated exceptional leaders across categories such as Global Women Icons, Trailblazers, and Women Business Leaders, recognising contributions from across sectors including policy, media, technology, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. The summit also saw participation from global organisations, international delegates, and representatives from embassies of Brazil, Russia, South Africa, China, Indonesia, Egypt, and other nations.

With impactful discussions, strategic partnerships, and global participation, the BRICS CCI WE Annual Summit 2026 reinforced its position as a premier platform driving women-led innovation, leadership, and international collaboration—advancing a more inclusive, resilient, and future-ready global economy.
